Mackensey Phillips & Parker Alexander
Our Story
Parker and Mackensey met briefly when they were in high school through a mutual friend, but it wasn't until they were introduced again in June 2007, that they began dating. Listening to both of them tell the story, it is obvious that it was love at first sight. From then on, they were always together. In the fall of 2007, Mackensey moved to San Francisco, as planned, to attend art school, and Parker moved to Texas to work. His plan was to be able to move to California in a couple years.
Only two weeks after being apart, Mackensey couldn't stand it and flew to Texas for the weekend. As the semester dragged on, the couple made arrangements for Parker to fly to San Francisco to visit Mackensey in October. Little to Mackensey's knowledge, Parker had a special plan for their romantic dinner. During the main course, he got down on one knee and proposed. After a wonderful meal in the Fillmore, they walked down to a jazz club to enjoy some dessert and the club singer's version of "At Last" by Etta James.
Their plan of being apart for a few years was quickly reevaluated. They decided that after the winter break, Parker would move to San Francisco with Mackensey and attend school also. They had so much fun enjoying the city and being together. They drove across the country twice, and took mini road trips through California whenever they could afford the time. In July of 2008, they found out another surprise! With a baby on the way, they decided to go back to Findlay to be with their family.
Since then, the couple have been very busy, going to school, working, and having fun with their beautiful daughter, Ophelia. Their future plans are to move to Savannah, GA to continue their education as raise their child.
